Russian research centres, including the VECTOR Institute and the Somov Research Institute, are leading large-scale efforts to stay ahead of the next threat.
From collecting samples in remote taiga forests to decoding viral genomes and developing tests, treatments, and vaccines, scientists are building a system designed to counter future pandemics.
